World Water Day

One of my favorite brands, Starbucks, has teamed with other brands as a sponsor in World Water Day this March.

"In 1992, the United Nations (UN) General Assembly passed a resolution designating March 22 of each year as an international day of observance and action to draw attention to the plight of the more than 1 billion people world wide that lack access to clean, safe drinking water. With each passing year, the observance has grown larger and stronger."

"This year, Ethos Water, Starbucks and leading NGOs are working to bring even greater attention to the world water crisis on World Water Day. With events planned in 26 cities in North America, World Water Day 2007 will be among the largest organized observances of World Water Day ever."
